An anti-inflammatory Diet is all about the foods you eat. The idea is that certain food groups, such as whole grains, green vegetables, and polyunsaturated fats, can reduce inflammation in the body. It can help to relieve symptoms of inflammatory diseases like Crohns Disease or arthritis.
An Anti-Inflammatory Diet does not only mean avoiding foods that cause inflammation like processed ones and sugary drinks but also adding a healthy diet rich in anti-inflammatory nutrients such as vitamins C and D.
However, most of the foods you eat are not rich in them.
We all know natural foods are so much better for us than processed ones, but there is no need to avoid processed foods completely.
We should not forget about the importance of exercise and sunlight on our health.
Some of the foods in the Anti-Inflammatory Diet are high in fat, but these can be replaced by protein-rich foods or low-fat vegetables. Likewise, a high amount of polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fats in food is not harmful but can be replaced by carbs and other fats.
